Serra will host the 20th Fira de la Calderona – 54th Cherry Festival on 30 and 31 May. This major tourist event in the municipality, nestled in the heart of the Sierra Calderona, marks its 20th anniversary this year.
The town thus kicks off one of the area’s most iconic celebrations, recognised as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest in the Valencian Community and established as a cultural, gastronomic and tourist highlight of the region.
This 20th edition will continue to showcase Serra’s tourist attractions, heritage, cuisine and natural surroundings. Furthermore, this year’s logo features the silhouette of the Torre del Señor, one of the town’s most iconic heritage sites, the restoration of which is due to begin shortly.
The Mayor of Serra, Alicia Tusón, highlighted that this 20th edition “represents the consolidation of a fair that has managed to grow whilst maintaining its essence and its connection to the local area”. An event that also features the participation of other municipalities within the Calderona region
The 20th Fira de la Calderona will once again fill the streets of Serra with activities for all ages, including a craft and local produce market, food tastings, musical performances, children’s entertainment, traditional displays and activities linked to nature and tourism in the Sierra Calderona Natural Park.
