Museu de l'Oli

The Olive Oil Museum is already a reality. On Friday, May 28th, the doors were opened for the first time of the oil mill that has been restored by the Serra Town Council to become the Olive Oil Museum. The new infrastructure is located in the street of the Pilota, in a building of the late nineteenth century and that gave the Domingo Fos family to the consistory through an agreement in February last year. Two companies of the municipality have been in charge of the intervention on the space and the restoration of elements.

The Museu de l’Oli is located in the center of the town, between the church and the tower of the Lord. “From now on, the Museu de l’Oli will be another attraction for visitors to get to know our heritage”, says the mayoress. The new equipment wants to become a tourist product that links the museum with the quality of Serra’s oil. It is located within the Route of the Sculptures, a tourist itinerary that puts in value the cultural, ethnological and monumental heritage of the municipality that in two years of operation has led to double the interest in the town center of the people who visit Serra.
