Serra will host the Marathon of La Calderona next Sunday, March 8. Trail running lovers will meet in Serra to contest a magical event in a privileged environment, the heart of the Sierra Calderona. The test that this year reaches its sixth edition will bring together 600 runners who have filled the 300 places of the Marathon and the 300 of the Half Marathon. Both careers have the departure and arrival in Serra, in the square of La Font and the number of participants is reduced due to the restrictions imposed by the legislation of the protected area.

The Marathon of the Calderona is one of the most attractive mountain marathon events of the Valencian Community. It starts and ends at Serra, at La Font Square, and it also passes by the towns of Segart and Estivella. The marathon is a 42 kilometres-long race and has an approximated climb of 2,450 metres and goes up to the Alt del Pi (716 meters), Mola de Segart (656) and the Garbí (600 meters).
Simultaneously, it also takes place the half-marathon of La Calderona, which is a 21 kilometres-long race and has an approximated climb of 1,000 metres and ascends to the mythical peaks of Rebalsadors (801 meters) and Sierro (759 meters).
