World Tourism Day is commemorated every year on 27 September, with unWTO-led celebrations. In 2020 it has the motto “Tourism and rural development”, highlighting the exceptional capacity of the sector to create opportunities outside the big cities and preserve cultural and natural heritage around the world.

To celebrate this day, the Serra City Council has scheduled for Saturday, September 26, a free route aimed at the family audience. You can’t miss the theatricalized route “Sculptures come to life”, which will walk the streets of our town. The time of the stay will be at 11:30 hours at Tourist Info Serra, Calle Sagunt, 31. You just need to bring proper shoes and mask.
Although the route is free, you need to register in advance, as places are limited. To register, please contact the Serra Tourism Office at 961688404 or email serra@touristinfo.net

The urban route is theatricalized by Calderona Viva. Alberto, you have a dagger that your grandfather left you in inheritance. Inadvertently, he hits her 3 times with one of the sculptures on Serra’s route and something unexpected happens. A journey back in time in which visitors will be able to know some of Serra’s traditional trades and the story of an actress, the Calderona, who became a crossbody bag and gave our sierra its name. Will the magic dagger return to its owner?
