Everything is ready to celebrate this weekend the 48th edition of the Subida al Garbí. The legendary test dean of Valencian motor racing was presented yesterday at the Town Hall of Serra. An edition that will have for the first time with a minibus that will bring the fans from the town to the port of Oronet. The bus will leave from the Town Hall of Serra and through the CV-310 will reach the port of Oronet, at the junction with the CV-3341. The minibus will make the journey uninterruptedly between 6:00 and 11:00 am. This was announced by Manuel Durán during the presentation of the race.

47 participants will compete in the mythical ascent to the Garbí next Sunday. The trial and competition tasks will start from the Tochar in the municipality of Torres Torres to finish in the pla de les Llomes and in the municipality of Serra, at the foot of the Garbí. The CV-310, at kilometer 22.9, before the restaurant Sant Antoni, and the CV-3341 will be closed to traffic from 6.00 am.

The town of Serra will host Saturday afternoon the technical and administrative verification of vehicles from 16.00 hours in the ravine of Clara, next to the Polideportivo Municipal Hector Catalá. Until 21.00 hours will be installed the vehicle exhibition park so that the fans can see up close the cars participating in this 48th edition of the ascent to Garbí.

“We are proud to host an event that gives prestige in our town and places us as a benchmark of mountain motoring in the Valencian Community. An activity that is part of our cultural identity and that we have to protect and promote” says the mayoress of Serra, Alicia Tusón.

The presentation to the media was also attended by the president of the Escudería Bengala and race director, Manolo Durán, who organizes the competition, and the vice-president of the Valencian Automobile Federation, Javier Viciano, as well as the mayoress of Torres Torres, Amparo Bolos. Manolo Durán, after appealing to the fans to be placed in safe places and respecting the environment of the natural park has launched the challenge of working together so that the test can be within the Spanish Cup of Mountain Races for the 50th edition to be held in 2024.
