Serra Town Council presents its Smart Tourist Destination Master Plan (DTI), a strategic blueprint for transforming tourism in the municipality

Serra Town Council has completed its Smart Tourist Destination Master Plan (DTI), a key tool for guiding tourism planning and management in the municipality based on criteria of innovation, sustainability, accessibility, and digitalization.

The mayor of Serra, Alicia Tusón, emphasizes that “this document, developed over recent months, allows us to embark on a structured roadmap that is fully aligned with the DTI-CV model of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana.” Tusón stresses that the plan “lays the foundations for moving towards a modern, efficient tourism model that is adapted to the new demands of the sector.”

As part of this strategic process, Serra has joined the Network of Smart Tourist Destinations of the Valencian Community (Red DTI-CV). This membership certifies that the municipality meets the requirements established by the DTI methodology and recognizes the work carried out in recent years in terms of planning, digitization of services, promotion of public-private collaboration, and enhancement of the municipality’s natural, cultural, and gastronomic heritage.

The City Council has also set up an Interdepartmental Technical Committee, an internal coordination body that will ensure the proper implementation and monitoring of the Master Plan. This committee will enable tourism policies to be integrated into all municipal activities, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and strategic vision in the management of the destination.

The development of the Master Plan has been funded by the Impulsem Turisme program of the Provincial Council of Valencia. With this progress, Serra continues to work towards obtaining the status of a tourist municipality, complying with the criteria established in Valencian tourism regulations.
