The City Council of Serra has officially received the distinctive of the Product Club Camino del Cid in a ceremony held yesterday in Xàtiva. A recognition that accredits it as part of this network of quality tourism linked to one of the most important cultural routes in Spain.

The distinctive, delivered by Alberto Luque, manager of the Consorcio del Camino del Cid, recognizes the responsibility of the council with the values of the club: authenticity, hospitality, sustainability, quality in the attention to the traveler and link with the Cidian legacy. Another establishment in the municipality, 1respiro, has also received the award.

The mayor of Serra, Alicia Tusón, stressed “the importance of being part of this collaborative project that values the territory through its history, landscape and culture and that we share with agents from 8 Spanish provinces.” In addition, Tusón has moved to the Consortium “the need to give greater visibility to the road with proper signage of the branch to which we belong, along with Olocau.”

The Camino del Cid Product Club is made up of accommodation, restaurants, activity companies, tourist offices and other tourist services located along the route. A historical and themed route that crosses eight provinces of Spain (Burgos, Soria, Guadalajara, Zaragoza, Teruel, Castellón, Valencia and Alicante), following the places mentioned or inspired by the Cantar del Mío Cid, an epic poem of the 12th century.
