The Serra Town Hall has already announced the winning entry of the X Pascual Navarro Photography Contest, held through its official Facebook page. The contest, which this year has had a great citizen participation, has awarded the photograph that has received more “likes” on the profile of the council.
The first prize went to José Domingo Cabo with a photograph of the castle that has obtained a total of 136 likes, becoming the favorite of the public. The image has stood out for its beauty and minimalism. The finalist photograph with 101likes is the work of Laura Laborda Martínez, with a sunset, also from the castle.
The contest, organized in honor of local photographer Pascual Navarro, wants to recognize local creativity and promote the use of social networks as a tool for cultural dissemination with a common theme: environmental values and local heritage. The 25 accepted photographs have been exhibited digitally through the municipal Facebook, where citizens have been able to vote directly for their favorite.
In the words of the mayoress, Alicia Tusón: “This contest is a beautiful way to assert our natural, landscape and human heritage. With initiatives like this, in addition to paying tribute to the photographer Pascual Navarro, we strengthen the sense of community and encourage citizen participation through social networks.” The mayoress, adds, “I especially want to thank all the people who have shared their look at Serra. All the photographs reflect talent and appreciation for our environment.”
The prizes consist of two gift vouchers to spend in local commerce. The winner of the contest will receive a check valued at 100 € and the runner up one of 50 €. The prizes will be awarded in the coming days.
