Original works may be submitted until 7 March.
A competition will decide the poster for the 18th Fira de la Calderona and the 52nd edition of the Dia de la Cirera to be held on 25 and 26 May. The event is a showcase for the tourist offer of the municipality and many other villages of the Calderona which also participate and has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of the Valencian Community.
To participate in the competition you must be at least 16 years old and you can send more than one entry, always bearing in mind that the works must be original. The deadline for submitting entries begins today and ends on 7 March. The jury will select the works that will go on to the second phase of the competition and which will be exhibited in the Tourist Office for popular election.
Voting will take place in person until the 2nd of April to decide which work will be used to announce the Fira de la Calderona and Dia de la Cirera. The winner will also receive a cheque for €150.
“We encourage citizens to participate in this contest to decide the image of this festival so deeply rooted in our town” says the mayoress, Alicia Tusón. Alicia Tusón, who is also in charge of tourism, adds: “These are days when we want to show our visitors the best of us, our cultural, nature, sporting and, of course, gastronomic tourism”.
